Motorcyclist, 27, Dies From Crash Injuries
COSTA MESA — A 27-year-old Huntington Beach man died Wednesday from injuries he suffered two weeks ago when he struck a car broadside on his motorcycle, police said.
Mark Gary Hansen was pronounced dead at 2:55 p.m. at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, a coroner’s spokesman said.
Hansen suffered injuries to his head, chest and abdomen during the Dec. 6 accident in the 1000 block of Baker Street.
Police said Hansen was westbound on Baker Street when he hit a car that pulled out of an alley in front of him. Hansen was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
A police spokesman said the unidentified driver of the car was not injured. He was unsure, however, whether the driver was cited in the accident.
