World IN BRIEF : SOUTH KOREA : Dozens Accused of Foiled Plot

South Korean security agents said they foiled a socialist plot to overthrow the government, the second in less than two months. The Agency for National Security Planning, or NSP, said it had arrested 31 people, mostly university students, and issued warrants for 70 others. Those arrested were members of the underground Independent National Unification group, which supports North Korea’s proposals for reunification of north and south, the NSP said.
