Kimberly-Clark Corp.: The facial tissue, diaper and specialty paper products firm reported 1990 net income of $432.1 million, up 2% from year-earlier figures. Sales climbed 12% to $6.4 billion. In the fourth quarter, the Dallas firm’s earnings rose slightly to $111.2 million on revenue of $1.6 billion, a gain of 13%. The results included an after-tax charge of $44 million from the sale of its interest in Spruce Falls Power & Paper Co., a Canadian unit. The firm also cited increased sales in the United States and Europe, pulp price decreases and some improved operating efficiencies.
