FULLERTON : Daylight Sweeping Hours Begin Today
- Share via
In an effort to keep the city’s streets cleaner, street-sweeping in residential areas will be conducted during daylight hours starting today.
Sweepers will be running between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. in residential areas. Night sweeping will continue on major arteries, such as State College Boulevard, and in commercial and industrial areas, including the central business district.
City officials said cars parked at night often prevented street sweepers from making complete rounds, prompting the change to daylight hours.
City traffic controllers will be issuing “courtesy” citations through Feb. 10 to warn drivers of illegally parked cars of the change. Parking citations will be administered after the three-week grace period.
