Trash Pickup Is Expensive, Rigid
The automated trash pickup system just inflicted on certain unfortunate sections of the Valley is outrageous!
We are limited to two dinky containers a week. Any more than that is $5 per bag. We have two horses and a half-acre lot with many trees and shrubs. We sometimes have as many as 20 bags per week for pickup. Total cost for the year could run $1,000. City officials are abdicating their responsibility with this ridiculous, inflexible plan. They make no allowance for individual needs.
Phone calls of complaint to City Sanitation have been met with an indifferent: “Yes, it’s too bad, isn’t it?”
