Fiji Curbs Extended

SUVA, Fiji — The government Thursday indefinitely extended a series of security measures including a ban on public meetings because of the Gulf War.
The Suppression of Terrorism Decree, which has given police extra powers and banned public meetings in the South Pacific nation, was promulgated with a life of 30 days soon after war broke out last month.
