COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Men’s Tennis Team Beats Grossmont

Scott Clark and Frank Kranac won in doubles, 6-2, 6-4, to give the Saddleback men’s tennis team, the three-time defending state champion, a 5-4 victory over Grossmont in a nonconference match Friday at Saddleback.
Scott Hansen won, 6-0, 6-2, Clark won, 6-1, 6-1, and Fabian Skarvad won, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, in singles for Saddleback.
In South Coast Conference men’s volleyball:
Golden West 3, Mt. San Antonio 0--Doug Partis had 13 kills and Scott Drake had 10 for host Golden West (1-2, 1-1 in conference) in a 15-12, 15-11, 15-11 victory.
Mt. San Antonio is 1-2, 0-2.
In nonconference softball:
Golden West 8, San Diego Mesa 7--Golden West scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Cheri Williams had two hits and scored twice, and Dan Ursich had a two-run triple in the first inning for Golden West (5-2).
