Flames Catch Kings With Overtime Win

Carey Wilson scored at 2:28 of overtime Monday night to lift Calgary to a 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets at Calgary and give the Flames a share of the Smythe Division lead with the Kings.

The Kings and Flames have 93 points with six games left, including two head-to-head matches.

Winnipeg is tied with Vancouver for the final Smythe playoff berth.

Thomas Steen and Danton Cole gave the Jets a 2-0 lead after one period, but Calgary tied it on goals by Paul Fenton and Ronnie Stern.

Joel Otto’s goal early in the third period put Calgary ahead, but Ed Olczyk tied it for Winnipeg.
