Clark to Coach Football at Murrietta Valley
Dave Clark, an assistant football coach at Mission Viejo High School for eight years, has been named varsity football coach at Murrietta Valley High.
Clark, 38, served as Mission Viejo’s offensive line coach and started the school’s student-athlete volunteer drug-testing program. He was also an assistant at Buena Park and Sunny Hills.
Murrietta Valley opened in 1990 with freshmen and sophomores but did not field a varsity football team. The school will play a free-lance schedule in 1991 before joining a league in 1992 with its first senior class.
