A 5-month-old boy died after being left three hours inside a car with the windows rolled up, police said. Authorities are investigating whether to file criminal charges in the case. The boy had been in the care of foster parents. Police and fire officials arrived in time to find foster family members removing the boy from the car, Police Lt. Alan Lanning said. The boy was not breathing. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The windows in the car had been rolled up and the car was exposed to the afternoon sun for part of the time it was parked, Lanning said. Police withheld the name of the child until his natural parents are notified.
