Millionaire Immigrants
Proposed 27th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:
Any person desiring to enter the United States of America shall be permitted to do so either at the whim and pleasure of the Immigration and Naturalization Service or upon payment of $1,000,000, and if admitted shall enjoy such rights and privileges as may from time to time be conceded by the Supreme Court.
That should take care of the “millionaire visa” system; of actors, musicians and others who want to perform in this country, and of the “L.A. Eight” and anyone else whose political views are not immediately acceptable to the Thought Police.
A 28th Amendment could then provide that citizens should be subject to the same rules as immigrants--or, of course, it might be quicker and easier just to repeal the whole Constitution.
