Keating Proclamation: An elderly woman who grabbed the lapel of Charles H. Keating Jr., the thrift executive accused of bilking investors, and gave him a stern talking-to in court, was honored by Pima County, Ariz., supervisors. The five-member Pima County board issued a proclamation declaring September “Sarah Mandell Month,” after the Los Angeles woman who confronted Keating on Aug. 2 in a California courtroom. The small woman screamed, “Mr. Keating, you got all my money. You took all my money away. I can’t work anymore.” The woman identified herself at the time as Sarah Mandell, but it was learned later her last name is Solomon. She said she lost $100,000, while her actual losses were less than $5,000.
