Federal agents arrested a Michigan man Tuesday who they said interfered with the “performance of a flight crew” and was boisterous during a flight from Detroit to San Diego.
Wassef Cholak, 36, was taken into custody after the flight landed. The FBI said that, 90 minutes before landing, a flight attendant asked Cholak, of Southfield, Mich., to stop bothering other passengers. He then waved his fist at her and said something she could not understand, she said.
The flight attendant, Teresa M. Branch, told authorities that she was afraid to go near the rear of the airplane.
