OLATHE, Kan. — Two firefighters who happened to be nearby saved a 2-year-old girl in a parked car who was choked by the power window when she apparently touched the switch with her leg.
Joanna Granzow was unconscious and had turned purple by the time Capt. Ken Keiter and firefighter David Dock could reach her. The men were out soliciting contributions for the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. on Saturday.
They said the child had no breath or pulse, but they were able to revive her via cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
