At Saskatoon, Canada, forward Martin Rucinsky accidentally knocked the puck into his own net with 17 seconds left to give Finland a 1-0 victory over his Czechoslovakian team.
Teemu Selanne was given credit for the goal, which broke what would have been the first scoreless tie in Canada Cup history.
