COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Christ College Irvine Wins Soccer Opener

Forward Brian Beaman scored the winning goal in the second half to lead Christ College Irvine to a 3-2 victory over Christian Heritage Monday in the season opener for both teams.
Dan Smuts and Erin Clasen also scored goals and goalie Ed Huerte had three saves for Christ College.
In the San Jose Classic Soccer Tournament at San Jose State:
University of San Francisco 2, Cal State Fullerton 1--Raul Haro scored the only Titan goal, tying the score, 1-1, on a penalty kick in the second half.
