PREP FOOTBALL ’91 / GARDEN GROVE LEAGUE : Bolsa Grande
OUTLOOK
Wright, who coached last year at West Covina and in several Arizona high schools before that, takes over a program at Bolsa Grande that hit the skids last season with a sixth-place finish after winning the league as recently as 1987. And one of his more difficult tasks will be convincing the troops that they can be competitive this year. “If we can have a positive attitude and learn that we don’t care who gets the credit as long as the job gets done, we’ll have an opportunity for success,” Wright said. “That will determine our level of success.” When the time comes to grab the headlines, however, guys such as all-leaguer Moaliitele and Preston Lemmon figure to be the leading candidates. The two anchor the big and beefy Matador lines that feature the largest player in the league, Manuele.
