Pan Am Frequent Flier Program to End Nov. 1: Delta Air Lines said Pan Am Corp., which agreed last month to sell assets to Delta, will discontinue its frequent flier program Oct. 31 and its 3 million members will become members of Delta’s program, which has 8 million members. Though Pan Am’s fliers won’t lose any mileage points, the rewards offered by Delta are less generous. It takes 40,000 points to get a free domestic round-trip on Delta. Pan Am required just 20,000 mileage points. Delta said members of Pan Am’s WorldPass may continue to earn WorldPass miles on all Pan Am flights until Nov. 1.
