SAN CLEMENTE : Fair to Kick Off Rideshare Week

The South Orange County Transportation Management Assn. is sponsoring a Rideshare Fair on Saturday to increase awareness about car- and van-pooling.
Representatives from the state Department of Transportation, the management association, the Auto Club and the Orange County Transportation Authority will be at Ralphs supermarket in the Pico Plaza shopping center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to answer questions and will hand out free maps and coupons.
Officials will also be matching routes for those interested in joining car- or van-pools.
In addition to promoting alternatives to single-car commuting, the event will serve as a kick-off to National Rideshare Week, which begins Monday and ends Sept. 27.
