Taft 34, Gardena 20--The running tandem of Derrell Patton and Ronald Merrill combined for 230 yards in 30 carries with three touchdowns to lead the host Toreadors.
Patton carried 25 times for 168 yards and a touchdown. Merrill scored twice on only five carries, scoring from 25 and 23 yards out.
