Dana Hills 15, Peninsula 7--Alan Herman scored six goals, three in the first quarter, for Dana Hills. Charlie Short had three goals for the Dolphins, and goalie Chris Lawrence had 12 saves.

In the Magnolia tournament championship game:

Kennedy 10, Los Amigos 9 (sudden death)--Damon Nagami scored for the Fighting Irish (7-2) with 1:30 remaining in the three-minute overtime. Jason Pasol scored five goals against Los Amigos, and had seven in a, 10-9, semifinal victory over Cypress. Pasol was named tournament MVP, and teammates Nagami and Calvin Weis earned all-tournament honors.

In the Dana Hills cross-country meet:

Santa Ana Valley wins Division I race--Lucio Brito of Santa Ana Valley won the Division I boys’ senior race at the Dana Hills Invitational Saturday, finishing the three-mile course in 15 minutes 11 seconds to lead the Falcons to a victory over the 22-team field.

Laguna Hills’ Chris Lynch posted the top time of the meet among county boys, surging to a time of 15:09 in the Division III senior race to lead the Hawks to a team victory.

In the girls’ competition, Shelley Taylor of Edison posted the best girls’ mark of the meet with a time of 16:47. Taylor’s victory was her fourth in a row at the Dana Hills Invitational, and it was the first time she broke the 17-minute mark.
