Tour Group Has Spain and Portugal Trips
Yugotours, which has had an extensive “Prime of Your Life” tour program for mature travelers to Yugoslavia disrupted, has shifted its emphasis to other destinations.
A new series of trips has been scheduled, featuring Torremolinos in Spain, and the cities of Cascais and Estoril and the Algarve region in Portugal. Other areas in Europe and places in Mexico are also being developed.
Thirteen-day packages to Spain and Portugal will begin in early November and continue to mid-May. Cost is from $918 per person, double occupancy, including round-trip air fare from New York City on Iberia or TAP, depending on the tour. Round-trip air fare from Los Angeles to New York City is extra.
Spain-Portugal packages include a choice of a deluxe or first-class hotel or an apartment hotel with kitchen facilities.
In addition, participants get a buffet breakfast, a welcome party, a farewell dinner, a half-day of local sightseeing, transfers and tips. So far, there are six packages. Three are to one resort and two combine Algarve or Torremolinos with Cascais-Estoril. The sixth trip, three weeks, combines all three destinations and is priced from $1,368, including round-trip air from New York City.
Each tour also has an optional one-week extension to Madeira, costing from $515 to $815 per person, double occupancy, depending on choice of accommodations and departure date. A three-night stay in Madrid for $325 to $365 is another possible extension.
In each accommodation, a Yugotours representative will arrange for individual sports activities such as golf, tennis, fishing and horseback riding at local rates.
From April 20 through May, 1992, a full-day excursion from the Algarve or Torremolinos to Seville’s Expo ’92 will also be available.
