Pacific Symphony executive director Louis G. Spisto has been named president of the Assn. of California Symphony Orchestras, succeeding Deborah Rutter, executive director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, in a one-year term. The association was founded in 1969 to provide management and administrative services and workshops to the more than 130 orchestras, related organizations and music festivals in the state.
