‘Regret’ Over Mexican Action: The government expressed regret over Mexico’s decision to impose anti-dumping duties on imports from the British colony. The duties come “despite the fact that their investigation . . . demonstrated that these companies have not engaged in dumping practices,” said John Tsang, assistant director-general of trade. Mexico, which slapped the duties on denim containing 85% or more of cotton, is exempting from the penalties 15 firms that cooperated in its investigation.
