Six people were arrested Sunday morning in Thousand Oaks on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a gang act and possession of loaded and concealed weapons, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies stopped a truck at Moorpark Road and Avenida De Las Flores at 4 a.m. for a vehicle code violation and found a small-caliber rifle, shotgun and semiautomatic pistol, said Lt. Tony Ditzhazy of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
On Saturday night or early Sunday morning, a Thousand Oaks gang had reportedly shouted gang slogans and thrown bottles at the truck, Ditzhazy said.
The four men and two juveniles in the truck, all of whom reportedly belong to a gang, had driven to a house in Ventura and come back to Thousand Oaks to confront the people who had thrown the bottles at them, Ditzhazy said.
The two juveniles were released, Ditzhazy said. Eric Dryer, 18, and Jonathan Skoe, 19, of Santa Paula, and Brian Gutierrez, 19, and Steven Savage, 18, of Ventura were arrested, Ditzhazy said.
Dryer, Savage and Skoe were booked at Ventura County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail each for conspiracy to commit a gang act, possession of loaded and concealed weapons, several vehicle code violations and some outstanding warrants, Sgt. Bob Larson said. Gutierrez was not listed as being an inmate, he said.
But Ditzhazy said Gutierrez had been arrested and a department news released listed him as jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
