VENTURA : Sierra Club Chapter Endorses Bennett

The Ventura chapter of the Sierra Club has announced its support for a write-in candidate in the Ventura City Council election Nov. 5.
The club’s Sespe Group announced last week that it is endorsing slow-growth advocate Steve Bennett for the council race.
“Steve knows the issues and isn’t afraid to take a stand,” group chairman David Warner said in the group’s news release.
The club has already endorsed incumbent Deputy Mayor Donald Villeneuve.
