Foothill Group Profits Drop 11% in 3rd Quarter

The Foothill Group Inc., a financial services company with headquarters in Agoura Hills and Los Angeles, reported that its profit fell 11% in the third quarter ended Sept. 30 to $1.62 million from $1.82 million a year earlier. Revenues slipped 4% to $22.6 million from $23.6 million.
The company said its third-quarter 1990 earnings were boosted by $398,000 in one-time gains from the early retirement of debt, compared to $97,000 in one-time gains in the latest quarter.
Foothill’s profit for the nine months ended Sept. 30 was $4.16 million, in contrast to a year-earlier loss of $47,000. Revenues fell 5% to $67.3 million from $71 million.
