COSTA MESA — A man was pulled into a car and shot twice Thursday as he delivered music tapes to a business.
At about 1:15 p.m., Eduardo Ashton Robbins was delivering tapes and albums to a business located in a shopping center at 789 W. 19th St., Police Officer Gary Dahlia said. Robbins was approached by three men who forced him into their car at gunpoint, Dahlia added.
Inside the car, the men sprayed Robbins’ face with a chemical and shot him twice in the side, police said. He was then shoved out of the car.
Two of the assailants fled on foot, while the third sped away in the car, which was described as a dark blue compact, Dahlia said.
Robbins was taken to an area hospital where he was reported in stable condition Thursday night.
