LOVE & SEX: Teen-age pregnancies are the highest nationwide in 15 years (A21). Orange County officials say local statistics are alarming too: more than 4,000 annually. Lynn Posey of the Coalition for Children, Adolescents and Parents says local studies show that more than half of the county’s teen-age girls are sexually active, double the rate of 15 years ago. . . . Posey suggests: “MTV, movies, ads, they all say the same thing: Do it. Sex is love. For girls with low self-esteem, that’s a powerful message.”
