Japanese Back TV Production Company: Japan’s Mitani Corp. said it is putting up more than $60 million to help found Mudia Corp. to produce and distribute TV programming. Santa Monica-based Mudia will be owned by music promoter Tom Hulet, producer Lionel Schaen and JTS International Ltd., a Japanese manufacturer of information systems. Among Mudia’s projects are a TV show based on the trade magazine Daily Variety.
