Rainbow Stretches to France: Rainbow Technologies Inc., an Irvine maker of computer security devices, has agreed to acquire a French software company for $14.5 million plus 286,000 restricted shares of Rainbow stock.
Rainbow will acquire all the shares outstanding of Microphar S.A., a Paris company with 1991 sales of $8 million.
“Combining the technologies and management teams, along with uniting the worldwide organizations, will enhance our ability to serve the software and information security market,” said Walter Straub, Rainbow’s chief executive.
