Eric Johnson, a transfer from Cal State Northridge, was two for three with a triple and a home run to lead visiting Cal Lutheran to a 9-1 college baseball victory over San Diego State on Tuesday.
Four Cal Lutheran pitchers combined on a four-hitter and did not allow a run after the first inning.
Five of CLU’s eight hits went for extra bases, including a Jim Fifer home run in the eighth.
The win lifted CLU to 5-0; San Diego State fell to 5-4.
