Iwerks Begins Work on Montreal Theater Project

Iwerks Entertainment, a Burbank company that designs and builds specialized theater systems, said it has begun work on a $4.5-million theater at the La Ronde amusement park in Montreal.

Iwerks said the “Turbo Tour” theater at La Ronde will be fitted with a giant screen, a sophisticated sound system and 94 seats that rock and sway in concert with films shown on the screen. The theater is due to open in May.
