Roosevelt Junior High Wins Spelling Award

Roosevelt Junior High School won the team award in the Glendale Unified School District’s 1992 districtwide junior high spelling bee, co-sponsored by Soroptimist of Glendale.

Individual winners were Melissa Dullea of Wilson Junior High School, first; Mary Kwon of Wilson, second; Jennifer Hoang of Roosevelt, third; Caroline Dolio of Roosevelt, fourth, and Audrey Fan of Toll Junior High School and Nishka Chandrasoma of Rosemont Junior High School fifth. Melissa received a $50 cash award and the runners-up received reference books.
