* Baxter International, a leading manufacturer of health care products, said its president, Wilbur H. Gantz, is leaving to found a bio-pharmaceutical and diagnostics company called Pathogenesis Corp.
Executive Vice President James R. Tobin will replace Gantz as president and chief operating officer. The Deerfield, Ill., corporation, which had sales of $8.9 billion in 1991, will hold an equity investment in the new company. Gantz will remain on Baxter’s board of directors.
