Forum Boxing Is Postponed for a Week
The Forum’s scheduled Monday night boxing show has been postponed until next Monday, May 11, because of civil disorder in Los Angeles.
The card will feature Mexico City’s undefeated Carlos Gonzalez, a junior-welterweight, who has 29 knockouts in his 30 victories, against Tim Brooks of Sacramento (13-9-1).
The fight for Gonzalez, 19, will be his U.S. debut. Of his 29 knockouts, seven have come in the first round and 22 in the first three.
Heavyweight Dave Dixon (11-1) will meet Lionel Butler (11-10-1), and lightweight David Sample (17-0) will meet Ramon Zavala (14-6) in two other 10-round bouts.
