HANGING TOUGH: The toll from Gary Nash’s recent back surgery hardly leaves him in shape for a triathlon: Two rods, six screws and two bolts ended his running days. But Nash, 51, above, says it won’t stop him from the swimming portion of today’s Orange County Performing Arts Center Triathlon at Lake Mission Viejo.
