Landaker Lifts Westlake-Royal

Shortstop Dave Landaker was five for five to lead Westlake-Royal to a 12-5 victory over Camarillo B in an American Legion District 16 opener Saturday at Westlake High.
Catcher Shane Slayton homered, tripled and drove in five runs for Westlake-Royal. Right-hander John Snyder did not allow an earned run over four innings. He allowed three hits, struck out seven and walked one.
Keith Wilson had three hits and Rico Lagattuta and Dave Brown each had two for Westlake-Royal.
