Let There Be Light (KCET Sunday at 10 p.m.) John Huston’s long-banned World War II one-hour documentary on the treatment and rehabilitation of psychologically damaged soldiers suffers from a presentation of apparent miracle cures for deep-seated trauma, yet it is suffused with the filmmakers’ commitment to its melancholy, gallant patients.
La Femme Nikita (Cinemax Thursday at 11:30 p.m.; next Sunday at 3:10 a.m.) France’s biggest 1990 box-office hit is an imitation American high-tech urban thriller that follows the rules only to subvert them into a feminist fable. The result is shallow, sometimes silly, yet Anne Parillaud, in the title role, is riveting as a free-lance murderess turned government agent.
