Santa Paula police were searching Monday for an unidentified man who allegedly abducted a teen-ager at gunpoint and raped her.
The 17-year-old was on her way to classes at Santa Paula Union High School about 7:40 a.m. when the man pulled over in a pickup truck near Santa Paula and 14th streets, brandished a gun and demanded that the girl get into his vehicle, police said.
He drove to a secluded location near 12th and Santa Clara streets and raped the girl, then dropped her off at 9th Street and Railroad Avenue, police reported.
The victim described the suspect as a white male in his 40s, with a slight build, brown hair and a mustache. He was driving a yellow, older-model pickup, police said.
