A motorist was killed Monday in Agua Dulce when his car went off a canyon road and rolled down a hillside, CHP officials said.
The driver was apparently speeding east on Soledad Canyon Road, just west of Agua Dulce Canyon Road, when his car plunged off the roadway shortly before 1:30 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Michelle Fink said. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car.
Authorities are investigating whether the motorist was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The motorist’s identity was unavailable, the coroner’s office said.
