Playa del Rey : Height Limit Approved
The Los Angeles City Council has unanimously approved a 37-foot height limit for commercial buildings on the north side of Culver Boulevard between Vista del Mar and Nicholson Street in Playa del Rey.
Residents asked Councilwoman Ruth Galanter, who represents the area, for the height limit in 1991 to control commercial growth and to protect the view of the Ballona Wetlands. Existing zoning in the area did not require height limits on commercial buildings.
