THOUSAND OAKS : Man’s Condition Stable After Being Trapped in Crash

Firefighters from the Ventura County Fire Department rescued a 24-year-old man Sunday morning after he smashed his car into a guardrail on the Ventura Freeway north of Westlake Boulevard.
The driver, who was not identified, was cut from his car about 10 a.m. and taken to the Westlake Medical Center, authorities said.
He later was transferred to Kaiser Permanente hospital in Woodland Hills, where he was listed in stable condition.
