Since Ross Perot ended his undeclared candidacy for President, I have received several negative comments about a Perot sticker still on my vehicle. This letter is a response.
The political system presently in power has me working each year from Jan. 1 to the middle of May to pay my total tax burden for the year (“Tax Freedom Day”).
Unfortunately, these revenues are insufficient for the government’s needs, so it tacks on an additional $2,000 increase in the national debt (my personal share.)
As a bonus, government policies also result in the devaluation of all my assets by 4% each year.
On the other hand, I only paid a dollar for the bumper sticker.
