Staples in Costa Mesa: Staples, the office-supply company, has opened a Costa Mesa store, its 37th in Southern California. By year’s end, the Fountain Valley-based company plans to have 45 stores in the region.
“Southern Califonia is proving to be a strong market for us because of its tremendous concentration of the entrepreneurial businesses which are our prime prospects,” Chairman Thomas G. Stemberg said.
The chain now has 169 stores in 12 states.
