ESPN reported that the Orlando Magic was about to sign top NBA draft pick Shaquille O’Neal to a six-year, $45-million deal.

Team spokesman Alex Martins said: “It is not a done deal yet. We are hoping that it will be done in the morning and that by late morning we would be able to call a press conference.”
