PLACENTIA : 2 School Trustees Face 7 Challengers
With trustee Barbara Williams not seeking reelection, the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District will have at least one new board member.
Trustees Judy Miner and Connie Underhill are up for reelection and will face a field of seven challengers.
Williams, a 13-year board member, has been a frequent critic of district administrators and often found herself in the voting minority. In June, Williams voted against the 1992-93 budget.
Other candidates for the board are: Craig T. Olson, a Yorba Linda dentist; Roger J. Kavigan, an educator from Fullerton; Jesse Valdez, a project manager from Anaheim; Henry (Hank) D. Montelongo, a teacher from Placentia; Juliet H. Zaidi, an educator from Placentia; Jerry Brakebill, a police officer from Yorba Linda, and William Lee Crow, a teacher from Yorba Linda.
