A judge in Cincinnati set a trial date of Sept. 16 for a teen-ager accused of killing Shane Curry, an Indianapolis Colt defensive end.
Artise Anderson, 15, of Capitol Heights, Md., has pleaded not guilty in the May 3 shooting death of Curry.
Curry, 24, who played at the University of Miami and was a second-round draft choice of the Colts last year, was shot once in the head outside a Cincinnati nightclub. Police said the gunman stepped up to Curry’s pickup truck in the parking lot and fired.
