Open Spaces Need Protection

Thousand Oaks residents have been decrying the cementing of a beautiful piece of land and the resulting obstruction of views caused by the construction of a Circuit City. I suggest these people take a look at what is planned for the Ahmanson Ranch mini-city.
The beautiful green rolling hills that separate the Conejo and San Fernando valleys will be lost if we don’t prevent what is zoned as open space from being developed.
The (Bob) Hope land swap is a bribe. If the developers offered the government a million dollars, they couldn’t take it. But if they offered them land that is zoned open space, they can. And our open space will be lost forever.
