Santa Barbara 36, Hueneme 7-- Senior running back Ray Walker scored touchdowns on runs of nine and one yard and rushed for 204 yards in 35 carries to lead the visiting Dons to a victory in a league opener.

Freshman quarterback George Jones, in his first game for Hueneme, completed eight of 21 passes for 104 yards and had one interception. Hueneme (0-4) scored with 1:50 to play on a three-yard pass from Jones to wide receiver Tyrone Brown.
